Oh, hi Prince Harry! My stopover in London

I was actually  kind of lucky to have a long stopover in London during my flight to South Africa. Thank you Expedia! So even though I was tempted to stay in the airport and take a nap after my red eye flight, I decided to go make the most of it, and I took the tube into downtown London!  There was even a guy on the subway singing and playing guitar for most of my ride.

I got off at Piccadilly Circus station, and emerged into the bustling big city full of beautiful monuments, statues, and historical architecture. It was a beautiful hot day so it was perfect for walking around to take in all the sights.

I walked through a park with tons of people, some cool birds and lots of nice flower gardens. I walked down to Buckingham Palace, and tried to tell them that I was here for my date with Prince Harry, but they didn't buy it. Dammit.

Then I walked around and saw the London Eye, Big Ben and Westminster Abbey before heading back to the airport.

Right now I'm sitting outside of my lodge in Johannesburg waiting for my room to be ready, and we are heading off on the safari tomorrow! There are ostriches wandering around, and there are some little Impala like creatures running around too. It is pretty cool so far! Can't wait to see what the next few weeks have in store...
